Justin Karcher March 2024
During lockdown
we go to a screening of Jaws
at the Transit Drive-In.
Popcorn border walls
separating our breaths
from other breaths.
When Mayor Vaughn declares Amity
to be a summer town
that needs summer dollars
we can’t help but laugh.
A Great White can go
through 20,000 teeth
in its lifetime. If we could
all be so lucky. A hunger
for life that never goes away.
